How is rent paid?

Payments are due on the first day of each month by standing order.

As a Parent/Guardian, is there anything that I need to do?

Yes, we need you to sign the lease as a guarantor for your son/daughter wishing to live in one of our houses.  As their guarantor, you agree to pay any unpaid rent , should your son/daughter leave the property before the end of their tenancy with rent still outstanding.   We will only contact you if payment fails or there are any other concerns during the tenancy period (disrespectful behaviour or damage to our property).

How much is the deposit and how secure is it stored?

The deposit required is £250.00 which is paid with the first months rent, and is held by the Deposit Protection scheme (www.depositprotection.com). At the end of the Tenancy, subject to the property being returned in a clean and tidy condition with no damages, we will request that the deposit be returned in full. If there are any issues, we will advise you of any due deductions, in writing, before contacting the DPS to seek re-imbursement.

What is the length of the Tenancy Agreement?

Our Tenancy agreements are for a standard period of 43 weeks - (10 months) but can be for a longer period to fit in with your academic year.

How do I reserve the house?

To secure the property, a reservation fee of £150.00 is required, after completed leases have been returned this will then be deducted from the first months rent.
